After spending what limited time they had together, two lovers part ways and return to their separate lives. We follow one lover as he mentally prepares for the long journey ahead of him.

 

This project was a part of a featurette to promote Mandela Methods, a short-lived art collective featuring animators and cinematographers. The artwork featured below are the assets I created before the collective dissolved. For my scene, I wanted to capture the quiet and uneventful 365-mile ride home by tying together wide, panning, and establishing shots to simulate the isolation of driving through fly-over country.
